Fake Job Scam - Ingenio has not posted this position
Cyber criminals have created a fake job opening by using an Ingenio website domain name similar in appearance to that of Ingenio. It is important to note that Ingenio does not ask for any personal information until after an employee is hired.
The criminals posing as Ingenio employers are using some or all of the following methods in this fake job scam:
Interviews are conducted via teleconference applications that use email addresses instead of phone numbers.
Requiring potential employees to purchase start-up equipment and pay upfront for background investigations or screenings.
Requesting the potential employee provide credit card information and other protected personal information.
The job posting appeared on job boards, but not on Ingenio’s actual website.
